Public BBQ

A compact reserve that packs in more than its size suggests. A shaded picnic table seats four to six comfortably, with a gas barbecue and a clean drinking fountain close by, so a cook-up takes almost no planning. Two tennis courts and a basketball ring sit alongside, which makes the reserve as popular with teenagers as it is with families, and mature trees keep plenty of shade over the seating. The playground is the weak point: it suits children under about four and offers little for older ones. The lawn is patchy with weed in places, there are no toilets on site, and neither court is lit, so play winds up at dusk.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
